The Bonifant at Silver Spring, a mixed-income, high-rise apartment building for seniors, is coming to downtown Silver Spring. The Groundbreaking Ceremony will be held at the construction site on June 12, 2014 at 10:00am.
Montgomery Housing Partnership and The Donohoe Companies, developers of the new apartment community, plan to have the building ready for occupancy by January 2016. The community will be located at Fenton and Bonifant Streets in downtown Silver Spring next door to the new library, now under construction.
Humphrey Management is proud to be the management company for this beautiful new complex, which will feature 6300 square feet of retail space in addition to apartment homes for seniors who are 62+. The Bonifant at Silver Spring is planned to have 149 apartment homes, of which a number will be affordable housing, filling a tremendous need in the area.
The Metro plans to have a stop for the Purple Line near the new library, making the new senior community extremely convenient for residents who travel throughout the metro area. Not to mention the walkability factor for the new community - residents will have all types of amenities just a step away from their front doors!
