Building thriving communities isn’t just a tagline in our logo. It is our mission and our collective passion. We pause now to reaffirm our commitment to embrace the humanity of us all and the absolute right to be treated with dignity and respect.
Witnessing the loss of precious life at the hands of those charged to protect us is truly horrendous. For far too long discrimination and bias have robbed so many black men, women and families of their hopes, dreams and even their very lives. We recognize the need for social change, and to that end pledge to engage in meaningful conversations and work to lead that change.
Though our hearts remain heavy, we will channel our outrage to join forces with people and organizations playing roles to improve the quality of life in our neighborhoods. There are many voices that were not being heard. Only together can we change that to become one thunderous voice that cannot be ignored. There is much work to be done. We hope you will join us.
