Maryland Multi-Housing Association (MMHA) awards Humphrey “Making A Difference” Award for Community Connections Program
Each May, Humphrey Team members across four states participate in the Community Connections Program, offering time at local community organizations. This year, the company team members donated close to 1,650 hours of time volunteering at 28 organizations throughout Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
This year, the Maryland Multi-Housing Association (MMHA), a local chapter of the National Apartment Association (NAA), recognized Humphrey for its continued efforts and commitment to their mission of creating thriving communities. Created to champion the charitable efforts of the multi-family housing industry, the “Making A Difference” award is given to a different member organization each quarter.
Humphrey was honored to receive the award for the second quarter of 2019. MMHA’s Director of Marketing, Giovanni Medoro, traveled to Humphrey’s Corporate Office in Columbia, MD to present the award to the organization. Several team members from various communities were on-hand to receive the award, and they enjoyed lunch provided by MMHA.
Guided by Foundation #3, “Creating opportunities to partner with community-based organizations to build our thriving communities is everyone’s responsibility.”, Humphrey community teams select and coordinate their projects with organizations like Habitat for Humanity ReStore, the Maryland Food Bank, and The Arc of Frederick County, among many others in their local areas.
