This fall, many members of the Humphrey Management Corporate & Regional teams had the opportunity to participate in a volunteer opportunity at JA BizTown at the Junior Achievement offices in Owings Mills, MD.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The training initiatives that are provided by Junior Achievement has made an impact to almost 47,500 students (and counting).\u00a0 Students across Central Maryland have an opportunity to train through real life scenarios. These training\/ scenarios show the realities of how careers, money, and business ownership work.\u00a0 At Humphrey, we take pride in paying it forward by being a participating partner since February 2016.\u00a0\u00a0 We are excited about our partnership and look forward to engaging a new group of students each year. <\/span><\/p>\n Former<\/span> Regional Manager of Baltimore & Outlying Counties, Lene McCollum, shared her appreciative thoughts with our Director of Education & Training, Regina Haynes, \u201cOur Board of Directors and JA of Central Maryland<\/span><\/a> staff wants to commend you for your commitment and service to Junior Achievement and the students of our region. You truly have been an example of inspiration to the young women.\u202fYou shared important skills, knowledge and feedback that will enable them to be more successful in school, work, and life!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Interested in joining Junior Achievement in their mission to help prepare today\u2019s students for a bright future? Check out some of the great program opportunities below, with even more featured on the JA website<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n JA BizTown \u00ae <\/a><\/span>Fourth through sixth graders run a 10,000-square-foot simulated city, complete with its own micro-economy. Students become an employee,\u00a0employer, tax payer, or consumer. Here is a video from Baltimore City Schools that describes the JA BizTown \u00ae experience: https:\/\/vimeo.com\/117833636<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n JA Personal Finance Experience <\/a><\/span> Volunteers help 10th graders make financial choices regarding a life scenario that have been assigned to them, professionals will work through the scenario using their insight\/professional expertise. <\/span><\/p>\n JA Howard County Rising Women<\/a><\/span> is a unique after school mentorship program that meets every Wednesdays for 13-Weeks for engagement opportunities (varies).\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n JA Leading Ladies<\/a><\/span> <\/b>Businesswomen and outstanding female high school students in the Baltimore area connect to celebrate successes, develop talents, build networks, and inspire the next generation of women leaders.
