On March 29th, Humphrey Management attended the Junior Achievement of Central Maryland\u2019s third Annual Leading Ladies event at the Stanley Black and Decker Offices in Towson. This event is designed to celebrate the power of women and inspires young women to further their aspirations. Students from the Howard County High Schools of Atholton and Long Reach attended as well as other high school students from the Baltimore Metro area. <\/p>\n
The Junior Achievement (JA) is the nation's largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for the future, and make smart academic and economic choices. Since 1957 JA has served nearly 1 million students. Today, JA reaches more than 45,000 young people every year in twelve counties throughout Maryland.<\/p>\n
The inspirational guest speakers included Kelly Swoope, News Anchor WMAR Channel 2, and Stephanie Hill, Vice President and General Manager of Lockheed Martin, encouraged the young women to strive for success, believe in themselves and achieve greatness. \"We worked with two young women from Long Reach High School, which is very close to our Corporate Office in Columbia. It was encouraging to see them actively working toward reaching their goals,\" said Bethany Hooper, President. Humphrey Management attended with representation from the executive level, finance, education and training, regional management, asset management, and marketing.
